I got these for walking around and occasionally having to get down on my knees. These things are not flexible at all. They are essentially a rigid cup with a gel cushion inside. If you are on your knees most of the time or for long periods these would probably be what you need. Oh well maybe I can where them to church.

TSG Professional Elbow Pads (Large) Review

These pads offer excellent protection. Due to their sleeve design, they won't slip off unlike other designs, and will protect you when you really need it. You can wear them as sleeves, but they also have velcro tabs so they're quite flexible.
I've been able to wash them in the washing machine (delicate cycle) and air-dry them with no apparent problems.
Highly recommended.
