Streamlight 51006 Task-Light 3-AA LED Flashlight, Black Review

This LED flashlight has quality aluminum construction with a good on/off switch that's easy to use with one hand.I would say that the beam is about as bright as the incandescent equivalent flashlight, with the exception that the light output is very white compared to a standard flashlight.The beam pattern is a cross between a spot and a flood (probably more towards a spot) and is slightly focusable.Don't get your hopes up though.The focusing is quite limited.I'm not aware of any other LED flashlight that is focusable at all.I think there is a limitation with the technology.All in all, I find this flashlight to have a very useful beam.The LED bulb has a 10,000 hour rated life, and one should expect a set of batteries to last significantly longer than with a standard flashlight bulb, since LED's are much more efficient.The only drawback to me is that the flashlight is a bit long, since it uses 3 AA batteries.For the price, one would be hard pressed to find a better quality LED flashlight which is as bright as this one.
