Fold-A-Way Air Walker Review

This product is very wobbly and doesn't work very well. After five minutes of use, washers come off, screws fall out and the legs start to come off.The digital monitor doesn't work either -- it didn't record steps or heart rate.I probably should have realized that a $200 fitness machine was too good to be true!

Nordic Track Professional Series 4000 Treadmill Review

I purchased a Nordictrac treadmill and (wisely, I thought) purchased an extended warranty through UTS (Universal Technical Services). Their website is [...]

The treadmill was not working correctly. The walking track was catching/sticking. After weeks of delays and back orders, they told me that they were not honoring the warranty. I am still unsure as to the reasoning as they have not provided an explanation that would legitimately give them a reason to not honor the warranty, which still has a year left on it.

I am unable to recommend Nordictrack or their extended warranties and UTS. A compnay and their products are only as good as the guarantee and the honesty to which they honor their guarantees.

Airex Professional Mats Review

Was not like by son-in-law to whom this was a gift. Not flexible enough to move around and store in their small living quarters. Also, this mat exhuded strong "chemical" odor such that they did not want it within their small living quarters.

I am currently trying to return it.Have written and have had no response.I am not counting on Amazon to support me in this effort.
It has been over the 3-days, over a week, since I wrote the company.

Thank you for this support.

SPRI PL-AWW5R 5lbs. Pro Line Ankle/ Wrist Weight Pair Review

I own a fitness facility and bought 30 pairs of these. These ankle weights look great but the construction is bad and not functional. The individual weights are not secure enoungh with the velcro to keep them in the allowed slots. Not only irritating but can be a bit dangerous.

J Fit 85cm Professional Grade Exercise Ball (Navy Blue) Review

First, this ball is "true" green, not the color in the photo. Second, there is a terrible "rubber/plastic" smell that gave me a headache when I first opened the package. Only after a couple days in the garage to air-out did the smell dissipate. I shutter to think what the workers that made this product are exposed to. Third, the pump is a joke. Plan to use a bicycle pump. Lastly, the product is what it says it is: an exercise ball. But it is heavy weight which is good and the puncture resistance is needed if you get into advanced workouts or you have dogs/cats that think this big ball is a toy :). When you first receive this ball you should unpack it and let it "age" in your garage for a few days before using it.

GoFit 75cm Professional Stability Ball Review

I bought this GoFit 75cm Stability Ball as a replacement for my desk chair at home. I've learned (from a trusted source) that sitting on a stability ball can burn 100 calories an hour. After using this for a month now, I'll bet that's true.

As for this specific stability ball - it's certainly a heavy-duty ball. It states a burst-rating of 1,200 lbs. I work at home and probably spend 6-8-hours a day sitting on this thing and it's very comfortable. At 6'2" and 220lbs, the 75cm size is perfect for use at my desk.

Use a bigger air pump if you have one. The pump that comes with it will take you a month to pump it up. I used a small portable air compressor and even that took a while to inflate. I did have to re-inflate it a bit after the first few days once it settled-in. That was no problem. I just used a pair of pliers to remove the plug.

I looked everywhere, but there were no instructions on inflating the GoFit ball that came with it. Not that it's rocket-science to pump up a ball, but a few tips might have been helpful. I used a long level and a measuring tape to figure out when the ball was closeto full-inflation. Just hold the level (or a yardstick, etc.) on top and measure the distance from the level to the floor.

The DVD and booklet that come with it seem to be a good bonus too.

All-in-all, a great Stability Ball for what I needed -- and a much healthier option than sitting in a regular chair all day!

SPRI SC-5R Strength Cord (Level 5 - Professional Athlete) Review

I picked up this band looking for more resistance over the SPRI Purple (Very Heavy) band which I'm disappointed to say it does not provide. It is a good quality band and the grips are large and comfortable but considering it's more than twice the price of the purple band which sells for about $9 on amazon I have to recommend you skip this one. The large grips may also be a negative depending on how you use the band. I was unable to hold both handles in my hand at the same time to double resistance like I could with the smaller handles on the purple band... 3 stars because its a good band but it seems unnecessary considering SPRI already has a better product for half the price. Based on its resistance level I would definitely say it's not for 'Professional Athletes' either so I wasn't happy to be mislead like that...

GoFit 55cm Professional Stability Ball Review

I've only had this ball for a little over a week, but I really like it.I've been doing exercise videos, one of which recommended a fitness ball.I never really liked using a fitness ball at the gym, but I decided to go ahead and get one anyway.Well, this is much better than what I used at the gym!Sturdy, good quality, and the right size (I learned that the ones I'd been using at the gym were too large).I've noticed there are questions about what size on a lot of reviews of different balls. Some people say that the "cutoff" between a 55 cm ball and a 65 cm ball is 5'3" instead of 5'6".I'm 5'3" and the 55cm ball is perfect for me.The balls I'd used at the gym look more like the "burst resistant" balls instead of the professional ones. The professional stability ball is definitely nicer. It was easy to pump up with the supplied pump too.I guess I'll report back if I have any problems with it, but thus far it looks like a very good purchase.I'm enjoying the exercises with it as the balance challenge adds an interesting element.Nice fitness ball!

---- Some time later ----
Okay I've been working out with the ball for a while now, and it's great. The only real problem is that I'd like to add more air.I've tried and tried but can't get the plug out.I can't do it with my fingernails, pliers are impossible to grip it with (and might hurt the ball anyway), sticking various items under the head of the plug hasn't worked so far.Is there a special tool I need to buy to remove the plug?I did manage to remove it once before, but over time it's become really stuck in the air.In general, that's a good thing; but for adding more air, it's difficult.

---- Later ----
I wrote the manufacturer and they suggested working the plug out by using 2 dimes.Or my brother-in-law did it in 2 seconds flat using a butter-knife.:)So it hasn't been a real problem.I've had the ball quite a while now, and it works great.I've done some long stability-ball exercise classes, and this is perfect for them.Very good quality.

Balego® Professional Resistance Band with Handles Review

This is one of the heavier resistance bands you can purchase at a good price. If you're a serious weightlifter or body builder, I don't think any of the available resistance bands will be sufficient for you.But this one offers more resistance than most -- feels like a ~30 pound dumbell in each hand when you step in the middle and curl with each arm.Not bad...

TRX Suspension Trainer Professional Review

It is well constructed. Heavy weight nylon webbing used throughout. I was really impressed with the quick length adjustment system. the prone/ supine leg exercises are surprisingly hard! Register your warranty online and you can download a free video that shows how to adjust the difficulty of several exercises.
I am not a paid reviewer so no extraordinary statements here. It is ring training. There are many options out there. The advantage of this system is the quick adjust ability, able to attach just about anywhere, and foot straps.

Natural Fitness 55cm Professional Burst-Resistant Exercise Ball (Moss) Review

I love my new ball! I had previously purchased a cheap one and was very disappointed. This ball is so much better than the lower quality ones. It is very thick and the texture is soft feeling. It also doesn't collect hair and dirt like the other one did which is very nice when you have pets. I love that it is a natural material. When I wanted to buy one I didn't think I would be able to meet that criteria, but this ball does! I couldn't get the ball to inflate using the hand pump that comes with it. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or what but I finally got out the foot pump from the cheap ball I bought and used that. It went much more quickly! I actually bought two of these (green for me and red for husband) and am very glad I did. The colors are great, too which is a big factor to me. I would definetly recommend the ball to anyone!
